Precisely the same problem with an Ext3-formatted drive, even including Syncback's behavior. Very disappointing, as maintaining timestamps is absolutely critical for a backup device.
I just got my Pogoplug today and was initially thrilled but I'm starting to get frustrated and second-guess my decision. I tried using Windows Explorer to copy about 150 files from my documents folder to a drive connected to my pogoplug - about 1/3 of the files (various types) had the date modified attribute as the current date/time whereas the others were all correct. I'm running Windows 7 (64-bit), have installed the latest desktop software. Having accurate date modified fields is essential for me.
Using Syncback SE I can get accurate Date created fieldsusing the "Copy file creation date & times" option, however, the "force the file modification date & time to be correct" option doesn't ensure they are correct - result is the same as before.
Copying these same files with my USB drive directly connected to the computer results in the correct date modified timestamps using both Windows Explorer and Syncback.
Anybody have any tips?
