PogoPlug does not include the ability to show the drives as a network drive.

Can you use the my.pogoplug website on this particular computer to access your files?

So.. I won't even be able to connect PogoPlug to my BluRay-Player (that needs IP Adress + Login Name + PW for Network-Storage (i.e. Windows PC with network-sharing enabled)) and use it as a simple, network-attached drive? :-/

Not unless you add a 3rd party app and Samba. Can your Player do UPNP like an Xbox or PS3?

Nope, no UPnP :-/

The "3rd party app" + "Samba" has to be on the PogoPlug, right?
Does this work without UPnP?

I'm just one step apart from buying me a Pogo..
My main criteria is, that my BD-Player (Smasung BD-P 3600) is able to connect to Pogo and play back the movies stored on the HDDs..

No it does not come with Samba installed.

I don't know of anyway to do it then.  Sounds like a good idea though.

Just one last question, to be dead certain:
PogoPlug =/= Media access on my Samsung BD-P (without UPnP)?

- External HDDs directly plugged into the players USB-Port works fine.
- HDD access via network with Windows file-sharing enabled works fine (just need to use my Windows-Username + Password).

But.. HDD access via PogoPlug-Network won't work? :c/

That would be sooooo mean.
It took me days of searching to finally find this PogoPlug-thing that has everything I need (Gigabit, several USB-Ports, NTFS support).. :'-(
