What's the new EFI drive I have showing up in the web interface of my.pogoplug.com ? I'd like to play with it but don't want to mess anything up. I'm using a dockstar and it appeared immediately after the new update.

Weird.
If it was me I would eject the HD(s), plug it into a computer and make sure there was nothing strange or unrecognized on it.
If everything looks ok there and and you see it again when plugged into the PogoPlug I would recommend you email support@pogoplug.com for help.

Or, just post a solution on the forums.

The EFI partition is made when using an Apple GUID partition map. It's most likely that the drive was used at a Mac or partitioned by one. The thing with Mac OS X is that it hides the partition. It's usually around 100-200MB. What you could do is try using "/sbin/fdisk /dev/sda" or sdb, "p" to print what's on the drive, and delete the partition.

For a GUI version of this, fire up an Ubuntu VM and use the Partition Editor (gparted).

You can also just go ahead and eject the "EFI" drive from the web UI. It's usually a pretty small partition.

Thanks for the answer guys. When I hope into work tomorrow I'll play around and post back. My previous drive (that I just replaced) was a Mac OSX HFS+ drive and I never saw that. I did, however, have to repair it with Disk Warrior a couple times because on power loss, it seemed my pogoplug would screw up the partition map or whatever it was called. Disk Utility said it couldn't do anything and told me to get my data off it. Anyhow, I'll play and post back.

Thanks again!
