I can't log in.  When I go to my.pogoplug.com I get the following error message:

ERROR

An unhandled RPC exception occurred on method listSharedAlbums: 500 [Unspecified server error]

OK

Do you know what this is and how I can log in?

Welcome, friend. I'm getting that error as well. I am also unable to log in on my 2nd computer (I'm logged in on my primary computer a couple of hours ago).

This is one of my great fears of owning a Pogoplug. If Pogoplug goes belly up, what do we do with the hardware? Turn them into door stops?

I am getting the same error. It appears to me that they are having a server problem. Hopefully they will get it fixed soon.

My Windows application still works however...

PogoPlug has placed the server code in an Escrow account and in the event that they go belly up it will be released to Source Forge. This is one of the reasons I choose them over similar products. Of course that does not help us now when the server is down.

Cloud Engines is very much aware of this issue and is working hard right now to correct it, more details here:

Hey everyone

http://my.pogoplug.com is back up. The various problems that people were seeing that showed up as 500 errors as well as login errors have been resolved. Our engineering team was alerted when the problem showed up and went to work immediately to resolve it. We certainly regret the inconvenience this service outage has caused, and definitely appreciate the quick responses here and to our support team on this issue.

Thanks all!

When I try to log on via the web I get this error:

ERROR
An unhandled RPC exception occurred on method listOwnerAlbums: 500 [Unspecified server error]

I'm assuming it's in the process of updating the firmware - (fingers crossed that it is that).

im getting that too...

@thenmen...that's a different error - try flushing your browser cache, closing your browser and restarting it

I can't log onto my Pogoplug. When I attempt to, I get the following error message:

An unhandled RPC exception occurred on method listOwnerAlbums: 600 [Invalid argument]

I'm running a PC with Windows 7 64 bit

Thanks in advance for any tips you can provide :-)

Clearing cache doesn't work, 90% of the time i get sent back to login screen. If i do log in, first thing i click gets RPC error 600.

I wonder if their servers are over loaded from the woot item a week ago that was the seagate pogoplug. And now they have all been received so there are a ton of geeks trying to use it on their july 4th weekend.

Its bad timing since pogoplug support is off for the weekend also.

Got the same here: An unhandled RPC exception occurred on method [[directory_obscured]]: 500 [Unspecified server error]

Happened after I removed an admin alias, found out that the folders that I beforehand had explicitly shared with this user, again need to be shared. I cannot share them now however, getting the error above.

Any clues?

Kind regards,

Sander

Solved by disabling option "Turn on sharing for folder "[[folder_name_cloacked]]" ", it seems this resets all user rights for the folder.

Well

I brought myself also that Pogoplug.

I am from Switzerland and I have a Mac 2.53mghz with 10.6.4 . I did not have any troubles with the installations or registrations item but after I signed over my.pogoplug.com . The tricky thing was, that there was not even a hint or a explaining Information about why I cant get in or so. The Pogoplug site simply loads the same longin Mask where you have to type your psw and email.

Thanks in advance for any tips you can provide.
