has this happened to anyone else? I'm just thankful that it wasn't a folder with videos of my kids... this device scares me sometimes. i just don't have a lot of confidence in it. Definitely not enough confidence to trust it with any valuable data like family photos or video. i really want to believe in this device, but it has been a rough start and instability like this is pretty much a deal breaker. i'm looking for other solutions. maybe a dedicated nas with raid and i'll just ssh into my home network for it to access files. i can forgo the really cool sharing features. this loss of data is inexcusable. it was just a folder rename.

i ssh'ed into the pogoplug and the files were still there, so I moved them to a new directory. the files are still there, but didn't show up after renaming the directory. a bit scary. also, after i renamed the directory, child folders that were shared were no longer shared. i guess pogoplug uses the directory path as the unique identifier and doesn't implement any type of GUID metadata for folders.
