Has anyone tried add raid support to pogoplug, i.e. mdadm?

 I have just found out about pogoplug and it a very intringing device, and almost exactly what I am looking for.  I realy want a cheap NAS systemwith RAID 1 support, and the added Cloud functionality of this device is awsome.  So has anyone been successful addid mdadm support to this device.

 Also how hard is it to download the source code, build it, and flash the device?  I would be willing to look into seeing if I can get mdadm to work if no one else has yet, but am wondering if I can update the device with having to take it appart or some thing along thoes lines.
