YES!!! OGG and OGV
Categories: PogoPlug Development
I would like to be able to stream all of my ogg vorbis files. It seems a shame that I can listen to files in a proprietary format (mp3) but not in an open format.

No kidding.. I run Linux on most of my desktops. That's one of the reason I went with the PogoPlug. We will have to see what will happen in the new upgrades.. I do like the new features so far.
Agreed! I expected this to run out of the box and was quite surprised it didn't!
Any news on this? About 90% of my music is in Ogg Vorbis format, and part of the reason to try the Pogoplug is to make that music available remotely. I don't have any significant video, so the use case for this unit for me is music.
So many manufacturers using embedded Linux seem to cater to the Win/Mac crowd while giving the Linux community short shrift.
This doesn't have much to do with the fact the plugs run Linux, but with how the little Adobe Flash applet doesn't play FLAC or OGG...but it would be great nonetheless.
