I noticed that the option called "Let people know when this folder changes" gets reactivated when I invite a new user to see a folder even if I had previously indicated that I did not what emails sent with every change.  When adding a new user, does that flag apply to the new users only, or all the users related to that folder?  (This applies to UI Version: 2.0.1)
