I can't open any Microsoft word document from My iPhone. I use the latest version of pogoplug for iPhone and a 32 gb 3gs iPhone. I only receive a message error - invalid format. How can I solve this problem?
Thanks

Davide

It looks like Word and Excel 2007 documents are not browsable in the iPhone app. Is there any plan to change this?

Yeah, are there any plans to changes this? For some reason some Word documents are viewable on the Pogoplug Iphone app and some are not. I guess it might have something to do with the font of the documents since the "type of file" for both the viewable and non-viewable documents are exactly the same. It would be fantastic if all Word documents could be viewed on the Pogoplug Iphone app.

Files view just fine for me, but I want to EDIT them. In iOS4 there is the ability to Open files in another application. This feature would allow opening in one of the various iphone office apps; Docs2Go, Quick Office, etc...

Access on Pogoplug, Edit and Save back to Pogoplug

I have been told by support that they will correct this so that you can open a document from pogoplug in a 3rd party app in the next release of the app.

I third that. On the one hand, I completely LOVE this device. On the other...

It is just stunningly frustrating that the pogoplugHD for ipad app will open a text file, edit it and then save it to the ipad,

BUT THEN

give us no directory location for the file (I've even jailbroken my iPad and used the mac desktop to search for the edited file -- with no success),

no means of saving it back onto the pogoplug or overwriting the original file

and no means of editing or using the file in some other application on the iPad that can do any of the above.

Come on guys -- the cloud you advertise is, by definition, a two way read/write concept.

At the very least, can you tell us jailbreakers where the files we have edited/saved to the iPad are so we can use DropBox and active sync as a workaround while you get things figured out???
