I wish there was a manual that just walked you through some of this.  I am trying to add another hdd to my pogo which is already set up.  I am temporaly adding a 32gb flash drive formated to NTFS.  i went into the "My PogoPlug -- general settings" and i tried to "activate a new pogoplug device".   It ask then states that the device could not be located and that i have to enter the unique identifier.  i did this and there is no change.  the drive still does not show up.  can someone tell me what i am doing wrong.  thanks

The "activate a new pogoplug device" is for adding a new pogoplug not a new Hard Drive.

When you plug in a new or additional HD the pogplug site should show it automatically.

Something like this:

Brandon C,

Thanks i guess for one reason or another my flash drive is not compatible. thanks for your help.

one other quick question, what does the "enable multi-drive mode" do? if i go into preferences in the windows drive app it is listed. Do i need to check this box first then attach another drive?

Multi-Drive has nothing to do with how many hard drives you have but jst how they are shown. For example I have 2 HD's on my Pogoplug. With multi drive on they show up as.

When it is turned off they show up as

It's just basically a setting as to how you see the hard drive(s)
