The address book is a quick auto-recall feature for all Shared e-mails you've previously entered. At this time, there is no manner in which you can build an address book without Sharing to the individual email.

i thought importing a simple .text or vcard even more format would be pretty simple, no ?
so a user could export his address book in a file and import it the same way; like gmail does it: quick, easy, simple and it works !
so the guy who has 200 email adresses has to copy/paste them all and send an email for the adress to be in book ???
it's like using the yellow pages book instead of the internet...
i hope a soon to come update will fix this

This is becoming a major reason I may return Pogoplug. I can't recall the last time I bought software that couldn't reach into my Outlook Address Book and give me direct access to all my e-mail contacts, so this should be simple to program. A serious flaw and lack of a basic item. Anyone know a work-around?

I agree. With the new OSX PP software it should be relatively easy to hook into or export the mac address bok into the PP addressbook (you've already incorporated PP into the Services menu). At the very least you should have a utility that will import CSV files. This is one of the few drawbacks of an otherwise great product.
