Will, they're both great feature requests and are on our roadmap. Our plan for the view only option is to have it show up in the web UI, but not be available from the Pogoplug drive app. Would that solution work for you?

That's the plan. The view only option for sharing will allow you to share files as view only in the web UI, but they would not appear in the Files shared with me in the drive app or mobile apps. I'll send out an update when we get closer to releasing that feature.
