UF, can you send an email to support@pogoplug.com - they'll help figure out what's happening.

I have a Seagate DockStar successfully installed on my network. The PogoPlug software was a breeze to set up and get connected on my first computer (WinXP Pro). Then the problems started. I have a laptop (WinXP Home) connected wirelessly, and tried to install PogoPlug there so I could get access to the drive. (Seagate seems to have no capacity to connect to the network drive without using PogoPlug.) PP installed on the laptop, then I tried to run it- and hit a brick wall on Active Copy. No matter what I click (any media selection options, OK, Skip This Step, whatever....), I get the same thing. The little progress circle flashes for less than a second, and nothing happens. This leaves me only able to access the drive (which is ten feet away) by going to PogoPlug on the web.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to get this to work? I would greatly appreciate any help you can offer!
Be well

I wouldn't waste too munch time on it if I where you. Mine was very unreliable until it died completely after 2 weeks. Seagate has never answered my many requests for support. My suggestion is to unplug the power wart and use it as a paper weight for which it functions perfectly
It turns out, the problem was a nasty virus that also messed up some operational stuff on my USB 3.0 adapter. Once the infection got cleared up, thing started working properly.

Rantack - the paper weight idea is pretty cool, but if you are up for it, send us your dead Dockstar and we'll replace it with a working Pogoplug. Contact support@pogoplug.com and mention my name (and tell them about the paper weight - they'll get a good laugh :) ).
Jed.
Hey, I also have a paper weight which isn't functioning correctly.
Can you send me a new Pogoplug as well :)
