Take a look at http://plugapps.com/index.php5?title=Portal:Hardware for some popular plugs and their hardware information. You're right in that the specs of the Pogoplug are a let-down...
I'm a little confused as to why PogoPlug makes a big deal about developers on their web site and here but the new version has less flash memory and low RAM compared to competitors?
I'm trying to decide what plug to get. Might be fun to hack around, install a few things (pyTiVo for starters), and PogoPlug seems to have cool apps like the iPhone app -- but on the other hand there are other plugs with more RAM and flash NAND. I guess I can use a USB flash drive to get around the flash RAM issue -- but the 256MB RAM seems pretty limited when there are other plugs with 512MB. Then again, the iPhone app is pretty cool, as is the picture sharing etc.
How about PogoPlug with 512MB RAM and 512MB flash? v3 perhaps?
