It appears that the pogoplug drive software and Path Finder are not compatible? When I run pogoplug on my mac I can access my drives through finder OK, but when I try to access the drives through Path Finder I don't see any files. Further once I try to access the drive through Path Finder then Finder access is broken until I quit pogoplug and restart. Anyone else see this?

I'm running brand new pink hardware, and the pogoplug software says its version 1.0.0.37

I have the same problem here except I have the original model.

good day, all -

i'm having the exact same problems, using the original pogoplug. i've been in touch with support, and have done everything they've asked with no success. here's what i know...

when BOTH finder and path finder are running, the pogo-attached drive appears in the left-hand bar. when clicked, the subdirectories/folders do NOT appear in either finder nor path finder windows.

once i quit path finder, the pogo-drive appears in the finder window, sub-directories and all...

so, my short little experiment says to me pogo and path finder do NOT play nicely together. let's hope we get a fix to this one...

That may be a deal breaker for me, Pathfinder is a must have on all my Macs. I find it hard to believe since PF sees all local and networked drives just fine otherwise. Please let me know if there's any more news on this.

hello, all -

as of 02.04.10, this issues is NOT resolved. i thought it might be, as both PF and Pogo have released updates to their software. but, alas, no such luck.

here's to hoping...

WOW .. pathfinder is a cool app for sure, downloading and installing it not... let me see if i can work some magic on it - might have to add some sort of a bug report..

give me some time folks!

k, so i can confirm what you guys are seeing, and I don't think this is something that PP can do, as it is relying on the macfuse protocol - an idea that could work (and did for me) was installing samba on my plug, as i could browse that through Pathfinder... please refer to www.plugapps.com for further info on that one...

The pathfinder forums are down right now (to busy), but i see someone has brought this up to their attention.. Ill keep looking for a solution, but right now the samba one seems to be it...

Scott, I think I must respectfully disagree. I also use expanDrive which is based on macfuse/sftp and I can access all of the expanDrive drives just fine in Path Finder.

Brad,

No worries on the disagreement.. On the pathfinder forums it looks like the developer has been in touch with Cloud Engines to try to resolve this.. as well, there is a bug ticket opened with CE to resolve this.

Thanks

Is there any news on resolving this issue?

I just bought Pathfinder, not knowing the consequences for browsing files on my pogoplug enabled Dockstar.

Kind of a deal breaker like mentioned earlier...

I understand that both parties (Path finder and Pogoplug developers) have been looking in to this. Is one of these parties trying to resolve the issue? Or are we waiting for some mac fuse update?

Thanks

Hey folks, we have been in contact with Steve over at Path Finder and he's been very helpful. We are working on a fix and will hopefully have a new build of the drive application out in a few weeks that resolves the underlying problem.

Has this been fixed yet?

Just installed the newest version of path finder. Works with pogoplug now.
