Yeah, it's great if you have a small library of media files, but I have over 260gb of music. Not very useable for me I'm afraid. :(

Fellow iPhone lovers, it's time to upgrade...
The newest iteration of the Pogoplug iPhone app (2.1) adds filtering by album/artist/etc. Really enjoying this new feature.

I have to agree... I already have my music sorted the way I want by folder. I find this feature useless along with many other new features.
I'm still missing the ability to download content from my pogoplug to my camera-roll! It is nice to be able to download things to the application to be able to access them while off the grid. But for me it is more important to use my pictures in other applications as well. Sending via mail editing, posting on twitter etc.
I hope this will be added shortly.
Furthermore. If I upload a picture from my camera roll to my Pogoplug, is the picture resized or in anyway altered? sometimes it seems the uploaded picture is of lesser quality then the original?
Can this be true or am I imagining things?
the pogoplug creates a scaled-down version of your photo for optimized web viewing, but your original is also preserved untouched on the pogoplug. when you download the photo, you will be retrieving the original untouched file.
I am just getting started. Bought pogoplug (why is pogoplug tagged as a misspelled word?) a few days ago and have successful set-up the hard drive.
The audio stream to my iPhone was of good quality and speed. Thank You.
My major complaint would be the fact that I have a large collection of music and the filtering needs a LOT of work. I am not a programer, but it currently seems that "artist" and/or "album art" is higher ranked than "album". As a result an album produces multiple "albums" and multiple "album covers". This is a mess that slows down the system with repeat after repeat of the same album art. A waste on many levels!
It seems to me that with a music filter the most important "class" is the "album". If a number of items share that same "album name", then it is pretty safe they belong together. Your filter does not handle multiply artists on the same album very will. Instead of ten artist on one album, I usually get ten artist on ten albums. This just slows the system down and makes looking for things all that much harder. Now, multiply by 10 albums and 100 albums and 1000 albums. What a mess!
