Hi all-

I don't see an audio input on the pogoplug -- but I'm wondering if it could handle a cheapo USB audio thing with some sort of streaming software installed.

With a few USB ports and a 1Ghz processor, it should be able to stream a few things at once.

Anyone done this?

Matt

The Pogoplug is designed to only have USB storage attached to it and doesn't support an audio dongle, at least not without hacking (and I don't know of any hacks utilizing one)

weak sauce. what is so tough about supporting an audio dongle... aren't these things pervasive & working well under linux?

I haven't tried it under openpogo yet but I'm pretty sure it's possible. I know the folks over at plugcomputing have done it on a sheevaplug.

The Pogoplug kernel has been stripped to the bare core basically so I don't think audio support can even be added in unless you want to replace the kernel or mess around with modules that don't even work half the time. The Sheevaplug can definitely do it though...
