Hi Everyone,

I currently own the last pogoplug and I am wondering if it is necessary to upgrade to the new device at all. I dont need the extra usb ports..but i'm wondering if there is any other huge gain? More features? or something.

Thanks in Advance

V1 Pogoplug owners will be able to take all of the advantages of the new software, and the major difference with the new Pogoplug is the form factor and number of ports; i.e., you won't get a performance gain from upgrading.

Peter, I own a TonidoPlug (Marvel Sheeva) and I'm wondering if it is possible to get it upgraded/modified so that it will use the same programming as the Pogo and Pogo-2 (assuming that the v2 is now shipping).

LinuxLord - I'm not sure on that one... I'll leave that up to the programming experts to answer :)

The Pogoplug uses a unique CEID number to register with the Cloud Engines servers. A TonidoPlug does not have that CEID. Maybe Cloud Engines will sell a license like Tonido does for Sheeva plug installations.
