Hi there.

Will my ordered pogoplug be sent before christmas? :-D

Would be great if you could give an update about the status.

Sounds like bad news.... What time frame is a "day or so" and will customers waiting for their order to be shipped mid-December be notified by email??

Didn't mean to alarm anyone. We are in good shape to start shipping soon. We just wanted to have precise information in hand so we could quote exact shipping dates. Thanks for everyone's patience....and enthusiasm!

I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of my new pogoplug! I hope the extra $20 was worth it to get it shipped via 2day air to Michigan...

(It took almost 2 weeks last time I ordered one :-()

I notice that there is no longer mention of an order being a "pre order" so that would mean you have stock on hand.

Several of us are planning on giving the PogoPlug 2 as a Christmas Present. I appreciate your wanting to actually have the stock to make a commitment. But will you at least commit to our having them in our hands by Christmas? Else we need to get busy with another present.

Notice from Pogo Plug that they will be shipping SOON! SOON is not a date. I'm beginning to feel like I've been scammed. There is a lot of hedging the truth going on. If this is how the relationship is starting I dread looking for support from pogo plug.

Hello FewClues, I saw that you pointed to the news entry on our community in your recent post. That information comes straight from Pogoplug and I'm not sure how it can be misconstrued as anything other than a commitment from Pogoplug to deliver by Christmas:

If your order was submitted by Wednesday, December 16th then you're all set. You'll get your shiny new Pogoplug on or before Christmas Eve (December 24th.)

If you have yet to order your Pogoplug, here are some guidelines for you to use to make sure that you receive it by Christmas Eve (December 24th):

Orders placed by Wednesday, December 16 require Ground Shipping only.
2nd Day Shipping is required for orders placed from December 17 to Friday, December 18.
Overnite Shipping is required for orders placed from December 19 to Monday, December 21.


Chris Louie from Pogoplug has also posted several times in this thread, and I assure you that your voice is not only heard but valued. They are very active here in the forums and really value everyone's feedback!

If you have any more questions about your specific shipment details you can use the support link above. Rest easy, the Pogoplug crew are good people :)

I ordered my unit on December 1st 2009 and was promised I would have it by the 15th so as you can see I have every reason to be concerned. Has the unit shipped? Is it lost? Have I been ripped off? I sent a support email and I am waiting for a reply. I tried once before to order a unit back in July and after several lame excuses gave up and canceled it. (The last excuse was the shipper accidently shipped the backorder units to customers who had just ordered, leaving people who waited months). If this company is having problems fulfilling orders please be honest and tell me.

The units have not shipped. My credit card has not been debited. I have no idea when the units will ship, but the same unit is being offered for the same price at TigerDirect and their shipping is free - saving $11.00 in usury rated shipping.

Peter its time to stop playing with words and simply state: when will the units ship. I am the moderator for The Tip of Texas Linux User Group (over 100 members) and we placed an order for a Tonidoplug and received it after my first query as to when the units would ship.

I got a response from the support team that said they are shipping Friday the 18th. ( Excuse #1, lets keep track. This is how it started last time). If I don't get shipping tracking info on Friday I'm canceling the unit and going to plan B and buy into Dropbox.

Well here is excuse #2 and the shipping date has been pushed back again. This whole thing smell. I'm canceling my order again. I gave this company a second chance and they failed to deliver and treat me with the common decency of telling me the truth. If Tiger Direct is selling them now how come we have to take a back seat?

Mike, An order placed with TigerDirect today will be delivered on 29Dec The five day delay will save you $11 in shipping charges. I would imagine that TigerDirect who imports a couple of million dollars of electronics a year is better set up to clear customs. The plugs are coming from Sheeva preprogrammed directly to TigerDirect according to my account manager there.

Having lived with electronic marketing much of my career I can tell you the fault lies with Jeff Fochtman PogoPlug's VP of marketing. It was the premature marketing of the product and then stalling that brought about all this angst.

A major aspect of good marketing is to build a trust bond between company and client. Jeff has a lot of damage to repair.

Well, I had my own experiences with US customs and understand your situation. And you are not Amazon and mail-orders are not your main business - I don't expect sorcery. It is a nice gesture to upgrade the shipping for pre-orders.

Figured I'd chime in with an update, as I've been following this thread for the last week as I keep my fingers crossed for a a pogo-filled Christmas.

I just received e-mail notification w/ tracking number, indicating that my order was processed on 12/18 and shipped UPS 2nd day air res. FYI, original order date was 11/20.

I just received my shipping notice at 6pm. I too was upgraded to 2nd day shipping. Apparently the customs guys finally let go of the goods. I can imagine a very busy crew at DLC getting those critters out the door.

I'm grateful for the email advisory. Takes all the pressure off here about giving the gift I want to give instead of a replacement.

My order was placed mid November and the date on my shipping notification was 12/18. I'm guessing that since they had to upgrade the shipping for pretty much everyone, they had to update the order itself, which would have been done on the 18th, this showing that date. Either way, I'm glad it's finally coming...before 2010.

I'm a little disturbed. 18 hours after I got my notification UPS still has no record of the shipment. I called UPS and they were helpful but they couldn't locate the shipment and suggested I go back to DCL or Pogo and get the number verified.

I then check my bank and the unit has not been debited.

THE UNITS HAVE NOT SHIPPED!

Hi all,

Just wanted to let you all know that notifications were sent upon Shipping Label creation; we had our Warehouse work overtime this weekend to ensure as many backorders as possible would be ready to ship Monday, December 21st. Shortly after pickup, approximately 5PM PST, your live tracking links should confirm the pickup status.
