At present, offline access is not available by default. However, some users have reported a workaround in this thread http://www.pogoplugged.com/forum/thread/11532/Accessing-pogoplug-locally-on-l...

Does pogoplug require access to the internet even for transfers occuring over the local area network? In other words, provided that I'd already set up my pogoplug with the internet active, could I unplug my modem (but not my router) and still access my files from computers connected to my home LAN? Or does pogoplug have to be able to constantly talk to the outside world for any sort of function? I'm primarily looking to use the pogoplug as a replacement for the Lacie NAS harddrive that I just knocked off the table. The ability to access files from outside is a nice feature, but I primarily want to ensure that I can access my files from within my home no matter what shenanagans might be going on with the internet in general.
Sorry if this was already covered in a different forum. I've been looking through this forum for a bit now, but I haven't been able to find an unambiguous answer.
Thanks!
