Had an interesting problem today.  Wondered why I couldn't backup using Norton's S&R product to my pogoplug.

 Happened to be at my desk when the virus notification came up. (I caputred the screenshot of the virus notification.)

Turns out the method that the PPFS.EXE program uses matches a "known" method of an HTTP Adobe Acrobat Plugin XSS attack.

 So, while I certainly can tell Norton that PPFS.EXE is a safe program, any chance PogoPlug will look into this and change their program?

@Paul Reese,

I will pass this onto the Product team. We will also monitor this thread for user's with similar issues.

To further define the problem, it occurs when the backup program tries to back up the actual Pogoplug file itself.

Also, I cannot bypass the problem. The problem detected is a false positive virus definition and no way to tell it to ignore that particular problem.

Norton 360 Gives me a Website Threat report when I go to pogoplug.com or mypogoplug.com.

Is it just a coincidence that the software continuously pesters me to subscribe to their on-line backup service?
