Wow...that's a first. What happens when you turn it on? What lights turn on and do they blink? I don't think you could have fried the CPU since the Pogoplug's bottleneck was the RAM at 256MB, however, it is possible...what PHP scripts were you running?

I was using my plug computer to run php script web bots that was updating my website. Now I wish I designed the system better cause I think I fried the cpu....
Did I just lose $100 bucks?
Thanks,
Tjackson.
I noticed my website not updating and came home, my plug computer had no lights on, very hot and had a strange smell, I immediately unplug it. I plug it back in and nothing happens, no green lights. I plugged it back in when it cooled, and still no lights came on. I was hitting regular sites like cnn all the way to twitter, connecting to a mysql database that was hosted on godaddy.
I did see a slow down when I first would start them, but the scripts would sleep 6 minutes so I figure they'ed be out of sync.
There any warranty on the pogo?
Go ahead and contact our support team at support@pogoplug.com. They'll arrange to get a new Pogoplug out to you.
Well I must say the story has a happy ending!
The support team says they will give me another plug. In the mean time I have redesigned my 15 scripts into 1 script which should reduce load.
Another note I tried a cloud service and the struggle I am having to replace my pogo is frustrating. I can't wait to get my pogo back.
True story - still under development - my site that I am using my pogo for is www.bt12k.com (after thinking about how "goody" the story is, I had to say I didn't mean to promote my site, only to show that this is a true story).
Thanks again,
Tom J.
