They could improve things a bit in that area....
An option to let movies be streamed to the browser, rather than to FLASH. That would let the browser handle how to show the movie. That way we could use the DIVX plugin, media player, etc. etc.
They could also improve the music player a bit. Use some of those flash based jukebox players. Or, again, an option to let your browser handle it with whatever media player it wants.
Forcibly staying with FLASH is a bit of limitation, that's for sure.
While not the biggest feature for me, the ability to stream video is kinda nice. The problem with it is that few video formats are supported right now. I knew a little company, MediaBolic, which could do amazing things with video streaming. If you knew anyone from that crack team, perhaps some additional video magic could make it's way into the Pogoplug. Pity they aren't around anymore, or are they?
They should look into using the Divx Web Player Plus (http://www.divx.com/en/software/divx-plus/web-player) for certain video formats. This would make it a lot easier to stream video files. There is no reason we should have to re-encode our video files to allow the pogoplug website to stream the videos. The pogoplug website should change its player to allow us to stream many different kinds of videos. It would be a much easier change.
