Please contact support. We would like to help isolate this issue. Shooting from the hip, you describe multiple firewalls and the Pogoplug does use port UDP 4365 to communicate with our Service. Could this port be blocked on the Firewall to which you've now attached your Pogoplug?

I have multiple firewalls in my house. I recently moved my pogoplug from one firewall to another and can connect via my.pogoplug.com but cannot connect locally using pogoplugfs, even from the same LAN/Subnet. At the bottom of the capture, you can see an ip address (eg. 172...) which pogoplugfs is using to connect to the local pogoplug device. This address is not within the subnet of the new LAN/subnet I have moved the pogoplug to. I have rebooted the pogoplug to no effect. I suspect the pogoplug.com server has not updated this address and is handing pogoplugfs the wrong/old address for my pogoplug.
Using ubuntu 9.04 NBR

Here's a capture of the output from pogoplugfs.:

This maybe a retired subject, but I am seeing the 3333 port also being used using the drive mapping tool.
I have a trusted corporate network with the pogoplug sitting on the DMZ side of the network. I have set a static IP mapping using the firewall, punched the UDP 4365 port (both directions) between our DMZ and external and trusted networks, and I am now seeing the 3333 port showup in my firewall logs.
It would be nice to get a full fledged listing of what inbound/outbound ports are really necessary for this thing to work.

ERROR: Failed to connect to server: -15!
Easily connected a few days ago. Nothing has changed here.
Thanks for your help
did anyone get this resolved? I just got my pogoplug and followed the ubuntu setup article. it seems like everything worked --- I can see the pogoplug in my "places" folder. I can access it and see a subfolder for my generic hardrive. However, when I open that folder there is nothing in it.
My terminal session gives the exact same errors as the OP above.
Error with certificate at depth: 3
FAILED TO CONNECT: -11
I can access the contents from the my.pogoplug site using this same machine (ubuntu 8.04).
I am not even close to being a savy linux user, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!
Having same "failed to connect" issue. Anyone have any ideas? 10.04 Lucid Lynx
Fedora 14. Updated my laptop's kernel today (along with other updates from the past two weeks) from one 2.6.35.11 kernel to another Fedora build of it, if that's relevant.
What does -15 mean, anyway?
I was successfully connecting with pogoplugfs earlier today (before my system upgrade).
Hi,
I've had the same problem and got it working by using the following command line:
/home/mike/Pogoplug/pogoplugfs --password mypogoplugpassword --mountpoint /media/pogoplug --user email@myemailserver.com
By typing /home/mike/Pogoplug/pogoplugfs --help, we can see that there are more command-line options.
Additionally, options can be read from a configuration file that is in
one of the following locations:
/pogoplugfs.conf
~/.pogoplugfs.conf
/etc/pogoplugfs.conf
Configuration files are of the form:
=
And keys supported include:
svcuser User to authenticate as if not specified on command line
svcpassword User password to authenticate with if not specified
logseverity Maximum log level that will be output to the log (integer>
I also added the three ports specified here as firewall rules:
Do I need to change my network settings to make Pogoplug work?
Pogoplug is designed to work seamlessly with consumer-grade networks and should not require any changes to your local network. To avoid any unexpected network errors, it is recommended you use the following default setup:
1. Network Configuration: I.S.P Modem --> Router --> Pogoplug
2. Make sure DHCP is enabled on your router
3. Enable unfiltered UDP traffic on your network, including your I.S.P
4. Enable Dynamic DNS on your network. If your computers don't require any special DNS settings, you likely already use Dynamic DNS
Note: Your Pogoplug must be able to access the following url's and ports inbound and outbound: pogoplug.com:80 (TCP), pogoplug.com:443 (TCP), and pogoplug.com:4365 (UDP). If you use a network firewall or proxy, please configure your network to accept these url's and ports.
