the root of the pogoplug desktop application is actually a virtual root. your drives show up as subdirectories underneath the root. there is no actual physical storage located at the root, thus you cannot write to it.

Hi I'm on ubuntu 9.04 and I wanted the automatic backup to write to the pogoplug directory, but it says it doesn't have write permissions. this backup application runs as root. the mount point is owned by my user and is rwxrwxr-x, but why can't root write to it?
