I had the same problem. I solved it in a simple but seemingly stupid way:
The problem I had was I partitioned the drive into two but the Pogoplug was still reading the ID/Volume name of each individual drive as the same. Seagate was still the name of both 'devices' on Pogoplug even after I renamed them something else in Disk Utility after partitioning.
Solution was to go to My Pogoplug and give each a unique name. Now they show up individually. It must have something to do with the naming convention for Disk Utility b/c I don't see any other OS with the same problem
I had this working before, but for some reason now I can't get multiple partitions to mount in the PogoPlug app. I recently formatted my entire drive to HFS+ (Journaled), and now it only appears as a single drive. Any ideas?
This seems to be a Pogoplug problem. Pogoplug - if Mac OS file system compatible - should be able to read the name of each partition. Instead, it does not. It gives each partition the same name: the name of the drive ID.
To rename the partitions, go to my.pogoplug.com/settings.html, and in general settings you should see the drives listed. Click the rename link next to that drive and you will be able to rename it. Once you've done that the problem you're seeing should go away.
