I use it but right now it isn't anything to write home about. It is usable but does crash quite regularly. I haven't been able to test out videos but pictures and music work pretty good. It needs some improvements but it does work and works much better since cupcake, v1.5, was released. I can try and post some screenshots later on but I use it a lot.
I was wondering if anyone out there has installed and is using the Android Pogoplug application. I'm really curious to see a review of the app, i.e., screenshots and user experience.

I'd just like it to work on my DROID. It works on my iPod Touch. Although the fact that they still cover up 1/3 of the screen with useless top and bottom info bars when looking at pictures makes it almost worthless.
I'm using it, however it only seems to work if I am logged in with my "administrator" (ie. of the pogoplug device) user email and password. If I log in as a "user" (ie. someone who I've given a share to) it doesn't seem to do anything.
I just got a nexus and was very disappointed to find out that this app doesn't work. I can see files but when I try to click on one it just gets stuck on the loading screen before it just gives up and crashes. It works beautifully on the iPhone. How about you pull some people off of the iPhone project since it works really well and have them help your android guys.
We are working on a new version of the Android app that fixes a lot of these issues (and adds some cool new features). We're hoping to release it in about a month.

Here's a quick wish list:
- Playback Video and Photos in full screen
- get rid of those nasty buttons when displaying pictures, a simple swipe should do the trick
- enable download of any type of file
- get rid of the lower lower settings bar, just put those buttons into the context menu (which is accessed by pressing the menu button on a phone)
- let people choose to either stream the trans coded version of a video or download the original file
- download files using separate threads and display their status in the upper status bar (just like it works with downloads on the Android market)
- a killer feature would be to be able to add files to a download queue and then let users decide whether to download over 3G/GSM or WiFi only
If you need more ideas and work (or a beta tester) just let me know. I've plenty of ideas ;-) Good luck!
Just downloaded the app for my moto cliq. I haven't had any porblems so far, but I do a agree with some of the suggestions that holsen posted. like video and video in full screen. I'ms till playing wiht though so I really dont have any reason to dislike it yet.

would love to be able to download non images and videos. I don't know why we can not do this now (life is not just eye candy). I have other files on my plug I would like to download on my phone. would be fantastic to have specified files SYNC. So if I do not have internet access, next time I am on, my pogoplug app will sync my chosen files. This is a great feature for a document I may be working on between computers and my phone and always updating.
has anyone tried the pogoplug with the droid incredible? (or anything else with android 2.1)
I use it on my Moto CLIQ and it's just an awful experience. I absolutely LOVE this phone...but using the Pogoplug app on it makes me want to throw my phone against the wall lol.
damn. well i hope they take the plug out of their you know what and get on it. i would think that mobile device accessibility in inherent with this product

The new version (2.3) is available on the Android market. If you can't download it, write into support@pogoplug.com and we can send you the app.
Works great on my Hero but then the prev. version did too. I still have the same one complaint tho, I want to be able to stream a folder (album) cause one song at a time is not great for working or driving.
I am using the app on my HTC EVO and it works fine for MP3s. Unfortunately videos are choppy. When I try to play a video it will run for a minute or two, then pause for anywhere from 15 to 30 seconds, and then start up again and play for a couple of minutes.
The length of time it pauses, and the length that plays before pausing varies.
The videos are coded H.264, and stream fine through my Chrome browser on my.pogoplug.com
In addition, if I play a bit of one video, then return back to the drive index and play another video often times other applications FC.
It sure would be nice to be able to stream video, but as of now they are jsut not watchable. n addition, speedtest.net shows I have between 8mb and 10mb WiFi connection on my EVO to the internet.
Any suggestions?
