I set up a shared folder on my.pogoplug.com and the person never received the email. This has happened a few times. No, it is not in their spam folder - they do not use a spam filter.

Any ideas of why or has anyone else had this issue?

Been 5 days since post. Anyone care to chime in? Even a "Your're nuts it works for me" would be fine. :-)

Thanks in advance

Hey ApeWare! You're nuts it works for me! :)

Actually I have not tried it in awhile. Will do right now and let you know if it works.

Wow that was fast. Worked fine for me.

Maybe the email is getting caught in some spam blockers?

Thanks for the response Brandon! I had my buddy check his spam filter and it was not there. Just vaporized apparently. I had this happen with a couple people. When I sent one to myself, I got it immediately. Strange.

I'm having the same problem. I've been using the Pogoplug for a few months (since prior to official release), and have made several shares without any problem. I've shared this particular folder with four people, three have received the emails and can access it with no problems. The fourth doesn't appear to be getting the email.

Checked the email address, removed and re-shared to him. He's checked his spam filters--no joy. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,
Doug

Oops--user error.  My friend had checked his local email client's spam folders but not his ISP's.  The share email trapped by the ISP's filter--problem solved.

Wish that was my problem. I control the mail server, not ISP. Still having problems with this. :-/

Does anyone have a guess about this? I'm having the same problem. I tried to share 2 folders, sent email to 5 different addresses. None of those email messages were received. They are not in a spam filter.

I have the same problem. Checked all spam folders/ blockers--not the problem. Out of about two dozen attempts to share folders, only worked for one email account once. And then did not work for that email again either. The time it worked I set up a new folder through Pogoplug and uploaded pixs from another hard drive--but can't even repeat that operation successfully. In addition, can't view 98% thumbnails on Pogoplug drives (don't appear to be generated)--don't know if that is related. Anyone else have ideas. I sent emails to Pogoplug--no response.

Apparently this problem still exist. Noticed that yahoo email address does not work. Gmail and Comcast.net email address works.

Same thing happens to me. Email addresses are in the "swbell.net" domain, but are actually yahoo email accounts. Would sure be nice if someone could find a solution, as most of the people I need to share with use yahoo mail. Makes the unit pretty useless if I can't invite them.

I've just purchased a PP and cannot send out any e-mail sharing notifications - except to myself!

I've tried POP account addresses on Hotmail,AOL and G-Mail and no luck. This is not a SPAM filter problem - the e-mails just aren't getting through.

It seems to crop up a lot in the threads. Obviously I'm not alone

Time someone at PP responded properly or posted a notice

Hey folks - just tested this with hotmail, gmail, yahoo, and pogoplug.com email addresses. New shares and updates both - all generated emails as expected.

If you contact support, they can walk through with you and attempt to track down individual emails through our mail server; as the system itself seems to be working in the vast majority of cases, further investigation of your individual failures is, I think, going to be the way to go here.
