Received my new Pogoplug on Friday, and am unsuccessful at getting it to connect, or for my router to even assign it an IP address.

I have connected it to my MI424-WR router (VZ FiOS) - both the Pogoplug (its amber and green lights at the rj45 jack respond) and the router (flashing lights for that port) know the device is there, yet the pogoplug simply flashed green lights for 45 seconds or so, then they flash red.

My firewall on the router is set to lowest settings, I have 13 other devices on my router (wired and wireless) and dhcp enabled.  My DHCP assignable range is .2-.254, so I have plenty left to assign.

A review in the router control panel shows it never even attempts to assign it an IP address.

I have tried several other patch cables (even testing each with a test tool), and other ports on the router.

I am not sure if I have a bad pogoplug or not - help!!!

@will266,
Glad you got it figured out. Actually kinda nice that it was not a setup problem and a hardware problem. I have not heard very many issues about the Pogoplug not getting recognized.

Btw, Thanks for hitting the "Answers Post" icon.
