davet,
glad you got it working, and thanks for the tip!

The pogoplug app for mac released 4june09 failed after I upgraded from OSX10.4 (Tiger) to 10.5 (Leopard). Pogoplug app reinstall failed with a postupgrade MacFUSE error msg. Initially wondered if it might be that the Tiger system was a PPC iMac G5 system. But fortunately it was not.
Zumodrive users (also MacFUSE based) reported the same problem. See http://www.zumodrive.com/forums/1/topics/680
Solution:
a) sudo rm -rf /Library/Filesystems/fusefs.fs /System/Library/Filesystems/fusefs.fs /Library/Frameworks/MacFUSE.framework /Library/Receipts/MacFUSE.pkg "/Library/Receipts/MacFUSE Core.pkg
b) Then install MacFUSE again: http://macfuse.googlecode.com/files/MacFUSE-2.0.3%2C2.dmg
c) Then (re)install pogoplug app.
Solved my problem.
I'm wondering if some of the Mac pogoplug hiccups (permission and large file copies) I've notice on an original OSX10.5 system might be due to an older version of MacFUSE.
Plan to see if they are reproducible and will report findings.

For the record - MacFUSE doesn't work on Snow Leopardvery well yet, so the Pogoplug application is pretty useless until MacFUSE is updated.
i'm on 10.5.8 and it doesn't work for me. it works fine on my linux laptop. i wish it would work on my wife's macbook :(
