I know i can share my files but is it possible to restrict the write properties that my family has with these files??? I would hate to have someone change or erase my info from my folders.

yes, simply uncheck the box next to their name in the sharing page in the web app

no i want them to have access to the folder but at the same time restrict them from writing to the folder

if you uncheck the checkbox, they cannot write to the folder.

What if you want to prevent someone from deleting files that you are sharing with? I'm okay with people uploading files, but I don't want them to be able to delete files that already exist there. Any way to do that?

Okay, so I messed with this a bit more, and also found on another post that if you do not check the allow uploads option by someone's email than the files are read only and cannot be deleted. Maybe it's just my opinion, but it doesn't seem very intuitive...perhaps if it was a bit more clearly laid out by saying what the check box does to permissions (read/write etc.).

As with begunfx... I would like to see a distinction between being able to upload and not being able to delete.
