I would love to email files (docs, pictures etc) and have them saved to one of the drives on connected to my pogoplug.

  • Setup a username with email2pogo.com and connect it with pogoplug account
  • Setup a drive to be used for saving the files into
  • Email to username@email2pogo.com
  • When files are emailed, use the subject as the folder name, attachment name as file name and save it on the pre-setup drive.

That's a really cool idea. This way, someone with a pathetic older phone (like me) could email pictures directly to the drive, without having to go through additional steps.

Well.............................................this is /theoretically/ possible - you could install dovecot or something and set up MX entries on a host to point to your home IP address so mail would be sent to your Pogoplug, then configure the maildir to be on your connected USB drive....hard and tedious and probably not worthwhile - but possible!

Or ask the Pogoplug team to do it with their integrated system already in place. :P
