A solution I think for the Pogoplug team would be to mount the disk as root, not as user.
Nmatheis, how about trying this in a Terminal:
sudo open /Applications/Pogoplug.app
That *should* start the Pogoplug mounter app as root - should. I didn't try this at all, but you can.
Only one user at a time can mount the Pogoplug device on my Macbook Pro. So if my wife has the Pogoplug drive mounted, I cannot mount it in my user account. Is this normal? If so, it should be fixed so that all user can mount the Pogoplug drive concurrently.
Did not work to use sudo when trying to open Dropbox on my account when I already had Dropbox open in my wife's account.
I think this is a major issue, as up to four users can be logged-in on my laptop and I'd like them all to have access to the Pogoplug Drive app.
Hey nmatheis,
I've added this as a feature request. In the meantime, I think quitting the Pogoplug application prior to your wife logging in should work - it's kludgey, but it should work - have you tried that?

Thanks for the reply, and for adding this as a feature request.
Yes, the steps you suggested would work, but it would also require me (or anyone else who accesses the Pogoplug) to always remember to quit the Pogoplug app before they leave the computer. I don't think I (or my wife, son or daughter) would always remember to do that.
Agreed - it's kludgey, and it's unfortunate that sudo didn't just work.
I see that you've also added it as a feature request in that part of our forums - I think that's a good thing too - it will allow other folks to riff on the idea; I love to hear what actual users are doing out there, and it's great to see this nascent community talking.
