Just at a quick glance, it looks like this is an issue on Pogoplug's end - I could be wrong, but the certificate errors are from Pogoplug.

I have tried mounting my pogoplug under linux ubuntu jaunty 9.04 with no luck so far. The output is as follows:
buford@AMD3200:~$ sudo ./pogoplugfs --user buford@koechig.com --password xxxxxxxx --mountpoint /mnt/pogoplug

At this point the /mnt/pogoplug directory can no longer be seen in the file manager. I don't see what could have gone wrong on my end but....Does anyone have a clue.
Thanks.
did you try without sudo? the instructions on the download page don't say to sudo. if you get permission errors, try a mount point to which your user has permission. the cert errors are benign.
Well, i tried with and without sudo with the same result i tried a mountpoint located in my home directory but got permission denied error. Here's what I get with a non-sudo command trying to use a directory in home as mountpoint.
buford@AMD3200:~$ ./pogoplugfs --user buford@koechig.com --password xxxxxxx --mountpoint --/home/buford/pogodrive

Why am I getting
[230907.817][308497][HBFILE][01] ERROR: Can't create directory [--/home/buford/pogodrive]: 17 File exists
fuse: failed to access mountpoint --/home/buford/pogodrive: Permission denied.
Why is it trying to create /home/buford/pogodrive. Why am I getting permission denied in my home? chmod 777 /home/buford/pogodrive already issued.
Do I need to create fstab entry? Who actually has this working on any distro of linux?
Not getting good feeling here.
it looks like you have an extra -- before the path, try removing it:
./pogoplugfs --user buford@koechig.com --password xxxxxxx --mountpoint /home/buford/pogodrive
if that doesn't work, send an email to support@pogoplug.com, they should be able to help you nail down the problem.
well, things are working now. not sure what the problem was. I didn't have an extra "--" in the path however. That was just some sloppy copy and paste. Since i tried to sudo the command first but didn't reboot perhaps the mountpoint was locked at that point.?? Anyhow, things are working beautifully now with reboot and fresh commands. Drive shows up on desktop and in Places menu. Thanks for the patience.

tuxedobuford
