Airport Express has only one ethernet plug. Best bet for hooking up a PogoPlug to my existing setup? Or should I get a new setup?

Currently have cable modem running ethernet to my Express which also runs Optical to my receiver for iTunes and AirFoil usage.

Can I buy an Extreme to put somewhere else hooked up to pogo to use as a repeater?

I recommend you go buy a ROUTER with a built-in firewall. With no firewall you are completely exposed. Just because OS X isn't likely to get a virus, malware, etc. doesn't mean someone can't get into your machine.

I have always found that as the years pass, you'll need to add more (complicated) devices to your home network. Installing a router will let you have greater control over your network and a little piece of mind being behind a firewall.

HP V6000, MBP Unibody 17" 2.93+4GB+AntiGlare, Slingbox ProHD, Netgear WNR834b.V2 Router, SA 8300HDC, Pana TH-42PX500U, PS3, Kylin IPTV, SlinkLink, 2TB WD MyBook(1TB RAID), 160 ExtHDD, SMC 10/100 switch, PogoPlug (duh)

I also have an Airport Express, and would like to use it with a simple ethernet router and pogo plug. However, it appears from this Apple support article that the device will not support the desired configuration:

It looks like you need to purchase an Airport Express (or other wireless router), to make a a second wired device -- like a Pogo-Plug -- work on your home network. If you do get an Extreme, you can still use your Airport Express as a wireless extender on the network, and stream airtunes/airfoil to your stereo.
