One of the really cool programs I found on the net recently is cooliris.com.

Maybe it already works, but if it doesnt that would be really cool to implement...

Cooliris is a way to really smooth and nice looking and very FAST actually browse all pictures and movies on the net or on the local hard drive...

Anyways, jjust an idea...

That's not a bad idea for image galleries. I've never been sold on Cooliris for browsing video galleries, however: for television shows, for example, I find it easier to look by series, season, and episode number than by an automatically generated thumbnail. Said thumbnail is often the same for every show in a season because it usually winds up being grabbed from the show's title sequence.

Took a quick look at Cooliris - it was pretty nice! There's no inherent problem in having Cooliris pull from a Pogoplug drive - I spent a little time with it over the past few days, and it works well with a small (several hundred) sample of various images (between 50k and 8 mb, jpg and bmp).

I'd say if you want to use it to browse your image files on a Pogo drive go ahead, and feel free to report anything to this thread if you see something wacky.
