I have installed my hard drive (a 2TB WD My Book) HFS+ (not journaled) and it shows up properly, but I am unable to read/write to the drive, getting:

The Finder cannot complete the operation because some data in "XXX" could not be read or written.
(Error code -36)

I am ready to give up and to sell the piece on Ebay...

Can you read and write to the drive through the website at MyPogoplug.com?

Yes - this works without any problem.

Actually - I just tested this more extensively. No, it does not work. When I download some files, they come currupt, when I try to delete files, I am getting errors (for example: "An unhandled RPC exception occurred on method removeFile: 500 (Unspecified server error).

I would think then that it is either an issue with your hard drive or the pogoplug itself. When you plug the drive directly into your computer does it work properly? I would try connecting the drive directly to the computer and then try repairing the disk in Disk Utility. Then plug your drive back into the pogoplug and see if that fixes the problem. I know early on I had some issues and that seemed to fix them. If you're still having problems, I would contact tech support. It could be that the pogoplug itself has an issue and they can send you a new one. I will tell you that my pogoplug works great on my iMac. Hope this helps.

So, I connected the drive directly to my Mac and it works flawlessly without any issues...

Maybe I should contact tech support.

I think you may have have a bad unit. My experience with Tech Support has been very positive. They have been very responsive when I have had a question. Like I said, my pogoplug works great with my iMac and both drives that I have attached to it.

I had a similar experience, so I'm posting so that hopefully other folks will save themselves some time and frustration. I spent half a day trying to get my Plug to recognize my 2TB WD MyBook with no success. Finally, I broke down and contacted Pogoplug support. Their response is below. The good news is that they seem to have addressed the issue and the response from support was super. I sent the email at like 10pm and they responded in less than an hour. Thanks Christopher!!

I'll update this thread to let you know how the exchange goes.

Recently we have noted that some users have difficulties with drive sizes of 2TB's or more. I think the best course of action is to process a Warranty Exchange and ship you a new Pogoplug with a revised kernel. While we are still on backorder status, new units should be available to ship early next week.

Apologies for your difficulties with your Pogoplug
