It struggles watching videos over 3G. There is a hidiously long pause before the movie even start streaming, and after that, it crashes more than half the time. On wifi, however, it seems to work great. So, the app still needs work, but it's worth trying out.
One other thing of note, the transcoding of videos to make them streaming compatible takes place on the plug itself. Since the processor in the plug was never meant for this kind of work load, it takes ages to convert. a 1 min/15MB h.264 1280x720 video took approx 10 minutes to fully transcode, and *it* was already in an mp4 container. I'm not even sure what the transcode did, as the video on the device was exactly the same when it was done. The point is, if you plan on watching a lot of media, transcode it *first* before transfering it to the device, otherwise you'd have a 20hr wait for a 2hr movie.
