Pogoplug iPhone App v2.0 Now Available
Categories: iPhone & iDevices News
In the continuing stream of improvements to the Cloud Engines Pogoplug, the v2.0 upgrade to the iPhone app has made its way through the draconian App Store approval process and into your hands. New users can download directly from the App Store, and existing users will automatically be notified of the upgrade. Of course, the app is still free!
Among several bugfixes and usability upgrades (it really feels a lot faster) several features have been added and improved:
Pogoplug App 2.0 Features

- Create new folders straight from the phone

- Manage and add shares right from the phone

- Upload videos (from your iPhone 3GS to Pogoplug or shared folder)

- Music tracks advance automatically for a more seamless listening experience

- Global search across all account-linked Pogoplugs and connected drives
V2 Firmware Features
In addition to the features listed above, when the new firmware is rolled out for the V2 Pogoplug, the new iPhone app will automatically include media filters for quickly searching for music, videos and photos. Make sure to watch the community for full details on the V2 Pogoplug improvements when they land!
So, why don't you grab the new app and give it a try - post on the forums and share your experiences!

The iPhone app has got an update already as far as I know from the post found by filecraft.com search, but it's got to be the most buggy piece of software I ever put on my iPhone. Two main problems: no back button once you get into a subfolder on your drive and whole menu bar (the top one) disappears most of the time (although not always) after uploading a picture or deleting one. Scary ... Definitely huge potential and not a bad start, but that's about it ...
And why in the world are there two separate applications ... Why not make a universal one? I really think Apple should make a requirement.
