It would be nice of Cloud Engines to inform us which version of the Pogoplug firmware supports journaled HFS+, though I note that mine is now running 1.0.0.17. Something to try when I get home.
Mac Users Rejoice: Pogoplug Now Supports HFS+ File Systems
Categories: Remote Access Software (Mac) News
Ok, so you're a Mac guy or gal, and one of your USB drives is feeling left out. Your Pogoplug is happily chugging along, allowing you to access the files on your other drives over the internet, but this one last hard disk is lonely.
See, this last disk you have is formatted in the Mac supported Journaled HFS+ format, which was previously not supported by the Pogoplug, and the last thing you wanted to do was reformat and recopy everything to it.
No longer does your drive have to quiver with excitement at the mere thought of being connected to your Pogoplug - because today, Cloud Engines has announced that the HFS+ format will be officially supported.
Before we forget, let's not neglect to mention that Cloud Engines isn't stopping there. The next step they're working on is backup via remote storage devices. (More details here.)
Enjoy hooking up your HFS+ formatted drives, and make sure to snag the latest updates to ensure compatibility!
***NOTE*** The 1.0.0.17 update is for the Pogoplug firmware, and not for the Pogoplug drive software. You can check with version your Pogoplug is running via the My.Pogoplug website. Ensure that it has downloaded the newest firmware update, and you should be good to go with HFS+ support.

I can say with reasonable confidence that 1.0.0.17 is the version you will need to enable HFS+ support, but I have not 100% confirmed this.
As far as the changelog, I'm thinking that as soon as the official downloads page on Pogoplug's site is updated with the new version, the changelogs will be posted there as with previous releases.
What version of the Drive software are you running? I'm on Mac and have not yet seen the upgrade notification.
Pogoplug Drive is still at 1.0.0.16. But if I look at the version of the Pogoplug itself on the Settings page, it reports firmware 1.0.0.17 is running.
Hi. Great news! Does it work through the Mac drive software? I noticed it doesn't for me and I was wondering if that is coming in an upcoming update to the drive software. Keep up the great work!
Looks like Pogoplug firmware v1.0.0.17 is the magic number for journaled HFS+ support. Over the weekend I took the HD offline, connected it to the Mac to re-enable journaling with Disk Utility, and plugged it back into the Pogoplug where it was accepted without the previous complaints by the device. Shows up as "MAC OS Extended (Journaled)" on the Settings page.
Some clarification on this - the change in the Pogoplug to 1.0.0.17 is actually in the firmware, not in the drive software.
So, the most current version of the Pogoplug Drive software is 1.0.0.16. The newest firmware version is 1.0.0.17, and once your Pogoplug updates to this new firmware, HFS+ compatibility should take effect.
