Things continue to look up for Pogopluggers. Cloud Engines today revealed several new improvements to the Pogoplug and My.Pogoplug service aimed at enhancing the user experience and making Pogoplug more enjoyable to use overall.

This update is being rolled out in two stages; some of the upgrades are already live, and the rest will be available sometime Friday. Updates are pushed to your Pogoplug whenever it has an Internet connection, so as long as it's up and running you'll receive the updates.

What's New

The following updates are available now, and may have already made their way to your Pogoplug:

• Rapid search through the iPhone or web application
• Additional Pogoplug drive app support, making Pogoplug compatible with the following operating systems:
  • 64-bit Windows (Vista and Windows 7)
  • 64-bit Linux
  • Tiger (10.4) and PowerPC
  • 32-bit Windows (XP, Vista, Windows 7)
  • Leopard (10.5) on Intel
  • 32-bit Linux
• Simplified sharing to multiple email addresses at once
• Personalized email messages when you share the secure link

And as they say in the infomercials, "But wait! There's more!" The following upgrades will be pushed to your Pogoplug sometime late Friday.

• Auto-discovery for activation (No more 26 character Pogoplug ID!)
• Sorting by file name, size or type in both ascending and descending order 
• Media RSS feeds that support video and music sharing, allowingg Pogoplug to play nice with Boxee!
