I agree with you. This new functionality is GREAT. I especially love the jukebox (only small thing missing is that you cannot name and save your playlists).
However I always looked upon the Pogoplug to be a "50:50" device i.e. It is fabulous for the PP owner that he/she can access files from anywhere in the world and at home stream media through the house etc.etc. Fine
But the other 50% of PP's purpose is to share media, docs whatever with other people and in this respect I think gallery, cinema and jukebox should be avaiable for the sharees too.
It's great that I can sit in my office and listen to my large music collection with Jukebox but my brother in Germany with whom I share my music finds himself with a pretty clumsy website not displaying metadata correctly etc. etc.
I understand that this new functionality is linked to the premium software (which I use) but there should be a way to include these very nice features also for those people I share with.
Thanks

Review of Pogoplug Web UI Updates: OneView, Jukebox, and More
Categories: Pogoplug PC iPhone & iDevices
Pogoplug is now even better for streaming your music, videos, and photos over the Internet to your computers and mobile devices with the latest updates to the My.Pogoplug web interface updates. The look and feel is familiar and very similar to the previous version, but along with many back-end fixes comes several new features: most notably, OneView and its companions.
What is OneView?
Essentially, OneView is Pogoplug's way of simplifying how the data on your Pogoplug-connected devices and computers is displayed to you via the web. OneView ties all of the media and data on ALL your Pogoplug devices into one interface, meaning that you can access any of them easily. This is best explained by taking a look at the three new web apps: Gallery, Cinema, and Jukebox.
Pogoplug Gallery

The new Gallery tab in My.Pogoplug is an enhanced version of the previous Photos feature. It aggregates all the photos on all of your Pogoplug devices into one view, which can be sorted via the rich metadata associated with your photos. My photo library is a bit sloppy, but in this screenshot you can see all my photos organized by date in the "timeline."

If I bring up an individual month in the timeline, I get a listing of all the photos from that date. I'm duplicating my photos on several of my Pogoplug drives, so you can see the "OneView" feature at work.

You can also create custom slideshows utilizing your photos and music--cool!
Pogoplug Cinema

The Cinema feature is very similar to the Gallery feature, just for your movies. You can quickly navigate through your movies via the Timeline, or view them all--and play them back in the very straightforward (and fast) interface.
Pogoplug Jukebox
This is by far my favorite new feature, and also the one that seems to have gotten the biggest facelift. I've always loved Pogoplug's fantastic music streaming abilities, so this one made me squee with geeky delight.

When you pull up the Jukebox tab, you'll see your albums and any album covers that Pogoplug can pick up via the metadata. You can easily select any album and begin playing it immediately. It bears mentioning that this feels much, much faster than it used to; navigating through albums is quicker than ever before.

Once you choose an album to play, the new Jukebox tab will appear at the bottom, allowing you to switch tracks, adjust volume, and so on. It's non-intrusive and very functional.

You can also filter by genre and artist. I love the new iTunes-y interface that comes up, which lets you scroll through all albums in the genre with the tracks also displayed.
Also note that Jukebox utilizes the OneView feature--meaning that all the music on all Pogoplug connected devices in your home will be aggregated here and sorted by the metadata. I can't think of a better or simpler way to unify, share, and stream the music in any home.
Conclusions
Straight to the point--these new updates are some of the best yet, in terms of functionality and usefulness. The My.Pogoplug web interface has evolved into an exceptionally efficient and accessible way to stream your media from anywhere, to anywhere. The fact that these updates are all free to Pogoplug users makes them even sweeter--plus, to those who purchase new licenses for the Pogoplug Software, one license (which allows you to stream media) can be used on all the computers in your home.
In addition, updates to the iPhone and iPad apps are coming soon!
Really like the new Jukebox. Playlist ability would be amazing though...would add some serious functionality IMHO.
I want to delete an item showed in cinema??? the file itself is deleted from the recycled area but thumbnail still shows in cinema
