Just had a very frustrating start - could not get thumbnails or previews to display at all.
found the problem was with the No-Script addon to my Firefox browser, even when scripts were allowed globally. with No-Script uninstalled (or disabled) and Firefox restarted - all now working perfectly

(not sure if this is the appropriate forum but ...)
ps- just noticed the word VIDEOS in the forum title duh
to late - already posted

Yeah, I had the same problem. Very frustrating. Even whitelisting pogoplug with NoScripts didn't help. I guess I'll be using IE rather than Firefox when I want to use Pogoplug.

Is there away to get a log file of people who access our Pogoplug as to where they come from? This would be a cool tool to see visitors.

yes, I'd like to see who has downloaded my file, and who is currently downloading or uploading.

It would be nice to see an upstream/downstream bandwidth counter to know whats going on with your bandwidth... especially before I start up a game of Call of Duty. ;-)

@archer--The Pogoplug folks have been watching our forums since the beginning :) Comments sections in articles are meant more for comments on the article itself, generally not for technical support or for general posts. Have you searched the forums and seen any of the other numerous responses and threads from Pogo folks? Their support is anything but "shoddy" and I've found that they care very much about the community. Even the company founders have posted on many occasions!

thanks, peter. apparently i have posted in the wrong place. i don't remember now how i ended up here. i wrongly assumed that you were with the pogo team. i will attempt to find answers to my problems with the desktop app. if you have a link to the info i would appreciate it. thanks, again for your response.

No prob! What kinds of problems are you experiencing? Are you referring to the Drive Application or the desktop software beta? (If it's the latter, we have a special forum just for that.)

http://www.pogoplugged.com/forums/50/Pogoplug-Beta/threads

If it's not the beta, there are separate forums for the Drive software on Mac, Linux, and Windows.

Also--if the community can't help you answer your question, and you need technical support, you can use the link in the help tab at the top for submitting an official support ticket to Pogoplug.

I'm just researching Pogo Plug to see if it will work for me. My wife has a store with a Mac and 2 PCs. They share business files (documents, photos, etc), through a shared folder on one of the PCs hard drives, but I'd like to be able to access the files from my house as well. Seems like I could use Pogo for that. Does it matter where I place the Pogo, either at my house or at the store?
Also, what is the best type of storage device to use with Pogo? I have a WD Passport, but it seems like that wouldn't work to well because you have to install it on one computer, am I thinking correctly? Thanks.

Since they are already setup to share files I would recommend that they use the Pogoplug as a backup of their shares.

You could have the Pogoplug at the store and have their computer sync the files with it. Then you could access them remotely as needed.

I do not like the new share link format. Anyone can use it and even distribute it. Is there a way to go back to the old style or hide the link so that only the recipient can use it by clicking on it from his/her email.
