I'm trying out this functionality which I really like. One enhancement I'd like to see is the ability to configure more than one Facebook account and assign folders to each, that way both me and my daughter could use the one device.
How To Share Your Pictures on Facebook wth Pogoplug
Categories: My.Pogoplug Website
You want to share a few pics on Facebook to your friends? The Pogoplug makes it very easy to do so. Here is a quick way to make this happen.
The first thing you need to do is go to "Settings" and setup you Facebook account.
In the top right of the my.pogoplug.com page you will see an icon for "Settings"

Click on it and then "Social Settings"

Enter you Facebook information there and you should be ready to create a share.
You will need to create the folder of pictures you want to share. If you already have a folder set up, you can skip this step.
Go to my.pogoplug.com and select "New Folder"

Name this folder something that is memorable.

Click on "OK" and you will see this folder on the site.

Click on the folder and you will be shown that it is empty.

Click on "Upload" and put whatever pictures you want to share into this folder.

You will be shown this window that allows you to pick one or several files to upload.

Click on "Add File(s) and select the ones to share/upload and then pick them from your computer.

Click on "Upload" and they will then be saved to the Pogoplug like this.

Now that you have the pictures saved on your Pogoplug you need to post the link to Facebook.
Click on "Sharing" and then select "Facebook"

Leave "Enable Public Viewing" checked.
You will then be able to use the default tect to be shown on Facebook or edit it to your needs.

Once done, you should see this. You can decide at this time if you want to notify people whenver the folder changes or not.

Here is what it looked like on Facebook after I shared the pictures.

Now all someone has to do is click on the link and they will be able to view those pics on the Pogoplug site.

For example the washington_1.jpg picture.

This may sound like a lot of steps but once you have your Social setting for Facebook setup and a folder created the Pogoplug will handle everything from there.
Is there a way so when I update a face book under/media/face_book_photos on pogo plug that the actual image will be displayed in Face Book?
Is there a way to tell Face Book to show the image or thumbnail instead of a link?
If you share just 1 photo with Facebook, it posts to your wall with a thumbnail, and then the text link next to the photo. If you click on the thunbnail on your wall to view the bigger picture, it takes you to a URL that ends with:
?ref=nf
Which, when you click on it, takes you to a blank page. If you however click on the text link, to the right of the thumbnail, it takes you to the same URL, but drops the ?ref=nf, and works.
Most people viewing your facebook page, see the thumbnail, and click on that, over the text link, and this the image is broken.
Why does it do this, and is there a way to fix it? I have tested PogoPlug Pro, PogoPlug BIZ, and PogoPlug PC Software, and all 3 do the same thing.
