Watch Recorded TiVo Shows With Your Pogoplug (Page 1 of 2)
Categories: Hard Drives / Storage News
What if you could save, watch, or listen to all your files on your Pogoplug USB hard drive wih your TiVo? In addition, how would you like to watch any show you have saved for viewing later?
Here is a cool way to do it!
I use a Windows server to do this, but you could do the same with any PC, as long as it is always left on.
Step 1: Install TiVo Desktop & Pogoplug Drive Software
First, you will need to install the TiVo Desktop program. You can get that here. After that is installed, you need to install the Pogoplug drive program, avaialble on the Downloads page on the community.
Once you have yoour Pogoplug drive program set up in your preferences, make sure you check "Remember me" and to start at login, as shown in the photo below.

Step 2: Configure TiVo Desktop to Point to Your Pogoplug
Now, you need to run the TiVo Desktop and set up your preferences to point at your Pogoplug hard drive. You'll do this by running the TiVo Desktop and clicking on File > Preferences, as shown in the photo below.

Click on Change and select the Pogoplug (P:) drive.

Select your hard drive.

Then click on "make new folder."

In my case, I called it "MyTivo Files."

Click on OK, and you should be shown something similar to the photo below.

Click on OK a second time.
